Sri Krishna Janmashtami, the divine appearance day of Lord Krishna, is celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at ISKCON Bangalore. The preparations begin many months before the festival. The temple will be adorned with colourful flowers and festoons, radiating a festive aura of vibrancy and celebration.

Sevas offered to the Lord:

There will be various sevas offered to Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra. There will also be a unique offering of delicacies to the Deities. Many opportunities are available on this most auspicious day to participate in the grand celebration throughout the day.

You can experience spiritual bliss through cultural programs, divine darshan, special sevas, melodious kirtans, and delicious prasadam.

Abhisheka of Their Lordships:

The utsava Deities of Sri Krishna, along with His consorts, are anointed with fragrant oils and given ceremonial abhisheka with auspicious items like milk, yoghurt, ghee, honey, sweet water and fresh juices. They are then smeared with turmeric paste and bathed in Ganges water. Varieties of flowers are showered until the Deities are submerged in a soft bed of flowers.

• Experience the magnificent abhisheka ceremony of Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra on 16 Aug 2025, from 10 PM onwards. Join us LIVE for a spectacular midnight abhisheka followed by Maha Mangala Arati to Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra at 12 midnight. The festivities continue with a grand pallakki utsava.
• Senior citizens can make use of the shuttle services at nominal charges. Elevator and wheelchair facility is available throughout the day.

• Devotees can offer Pushpanjali seva to Sri Rajagopala, Rukmini and Satyabhama from 9.30 AM to 7.00 PM on 15 Aug 2025, and from 9.30 AM to 7.30 PM on 16 Aug 2025.
• Devotees can offer Coconut offerings seva to Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra from 8.00 AM to 9.00 PM on 15 & 16 Aug 2025.
• Sri Rajagopala, Rukmini and Satyabhama will receive an elaborate abhisheka at 9 PM, on 16 Aug 2025, in the open-air theatre. The festivities continue with a magnificent arati and pallakki utsava.
• A grand arati to Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra and Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda will be performed at 12 midnight on 16 Aug 2025.
• Senior citizens can make use of the shuttle services from parking lots. Elevator and wheelchair facility is available throughout the day.

• The celebrations will include annadana for the visiting devotees and engaging cultural contests.
• Sri Krishna, Rukmini, Satyabhama, and Laddu Gopal will receive a splendid abhisheka on both the days.
• A grand midnight arati, recreating the blissful moments of Lord Krishna’s appearance, will be performed on 16 Aug 2025.
