About the Job
An IT Administrator manages, maintains, and secures an organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software systems. Key duties include installing hardware/software, troubleshooting technical issues, managing user accounts, and ensuring data security. They require strong networking knowledge and technical proficiency
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain networks, servers, and security systems (firewalls, antivirus).
- Hardware/Software Support: Install, upgrade, and configure software and hardware, including computers and peripherals.
- User Management: Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, user accounts, permissions, and email setups.
- Security and Backup: Implement security protocols and perform regular data backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Technical Support: Resolve IT issues and provide technical guidance to staff.
- Inventory & Documentation: Oversee IT inventory (licenses, equipment procurement) and maintain detailed documentation.
Required Experience and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as an IT Administrator or similar role..
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), networks, and database administration.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
