ISKCON Bangalore is celebrating Sri Vaikuntha Ekadashi, one of the grandest festivals during the month of Margashirsha (December – January). On this auspicious day, devotees visit a temple of Lord Vishnu or any of His avataras with great reverence and enthusiasm and seek the blessings of the Lord.
Usually, a Vaikuntha dwara is set up at the northern entrance of the temple on this which distinguishes this from other festivals. Vaikuntha dwara signifies the doors of Vaikuntha, the spiritual abode of Lord Vishnu. Devotees pass through this dwara hoping to attain Vaikuntha.
