A tribute to India’s indomitable spirit of faith and determination
Hare Krishna!
It was a great blessing to witness the historic inauguration of the Sri Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor Project by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modiji. The spectacular event was organised under the expert direction of the Honourable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Sri Yogi Adityanathji.
This remarkable project will play a vital role in re-establishing India’s ancient civilisational heritage of spirituality and devotion. Sri Kashi Vishwanath temple used to be a crowded place surrounded by narrow lanes. This heritage site has been transformed into a sprawling corridor and temple complex of about 5 lakh square feet. This world-class infrastructure will facilitate a smooth darshan to 60,000 devotees every day, something that would have been unimaginable a few years ago.
It fills me with immense satisfaction to see that the rejuvenated temple complex and the wide corridor connecting it to Mother Ganga have been completed within a short period despite numerous challenges. This incredible transformation is a result of the grand vision of Modiji and the meticulous execution by Yogiji and his team.
Sri Kashi Dham has been a revered place of pilgrimage and celebrated centre of learning since time immemorial and is very sacred to the followers of Sanatana Dharma. Every citizen of our country attaches great importance to the development of Benaras. Gaudiya Vaishnavas, the followers of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, also share an intimate connection with Varanasi. Sri Vishwanath temple, Dashashwamedha Ghat, Sri Bindu Madhav Mandir and other spots in this holy town are closely associated with the transcendental pastimes of Lord Chaitanya and His devotees. We are pleased to witness the various development activities in Kashi and congratulate the entire project team for their dedication and hard work.
As Modiji remarked, Sri Kashi Dham is a living symbol of our rich culture and heritage. Invaders might come and go, civilisations and empires might rise and fall, but Sanatana Dharma will continue to thrive and illuminate the path of enlightenment and liberation to humanity. Bhagavan Sri Krishna describes this eternal culture in His Gita as avyayam or imperishable. This project is a magnificent tribute to Bharat and her glorious spiritual traditions.
The inauguration event is indeed a moment to cherish for all the followers of Sanatana Dharma across the globe. May Sri Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor inspire future generations in the sublime path of dharma and infuse the world with peace, prosperity and everlasting happiness.
Yours in the service of Sanatana Dharma,
