Just as a materialist engages in constructing a big skyscraper, a devotee engages in constructing a big temple for Lord Vishnu. The materialist tries to satisfy himself in relation to his body by constructing a skyscraper, but the devotee tries to satisfy the Super self, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, by constructing the temple. Although both are engaged in the association of material activities, the devotee is liberated, and the materialist is conditioned.
It is said in the Vishnu Dharmottara that a person who builds a temple for Sri Vishnu will get the same result as performing the Rajasuya Yajna and Ashvamedha Yajna. We invite you to accept this unique spiritual opportunity for participating in the construction of this glorious temple.
The Vamana Purana states: Just by starting the construction of a temple for Lord Krishna, the sins committed in seven births will be wiped out and one will deliver his forefathers who are suffering in the hellish planets.
In Srimad Bhagavatam Lord Krishna says: By installing the Deity of the Lord one becomes the king of the entire earth, by building a temple for the Lord one becomes ruler of the three worlds, by worshiping and serving the Deity one goes to the planet of Lord Brahma, and by performing all three of these activities one achieves a transcendental form like My own.
