  • The contest runs from 15th August 2026 to 4th September 2026.
  • Registrations close at 5 PM on 4th September 2026.
  • Submitted photos are reviewed and approved within 24 hours of upload, so please enter well before the closing time to be sure your entry is live for voting.
  • Voting opens from the time of Registration on 15 Aug 2026.
  • Voting ends at 7 PM, 4 Sep — no votes are counted after that.
  • Results are announced on 4 Sep 2026 during the Swagatam Krishna Event - the auspicious appearance day of Sri Krishna Janmashtami.
  • Open to children up to 10 years old, dressed as Krishna or Radha.
  • Only one photo per child — duplicate entries will be disqualified.
  • Photos must be submitted through our website only.
  • Images already used commercially, published elsewhere, or that won a prior competition are not eligible.
  • Low image quality, screenshots, or collages.
  • Digitally manipulated or distorted photos — basic sharpening, contrast, cropping or background changes are accepted.
  • Disruptive watermarks, or subjects other than the child in frame.
  • Backgrounds with too many modern elements.
  • Images should be at least 2 MB and no more than 4 MB, in JPG, JPEG or PNG format.
  • Please avoid real peacock feathers, to prevent any cruel treatment of the birds.
  • A printed, hand-drawn, or otherwise crafted feather is equally beautiful — and encouraged.
  • You retain copyright to your photo, and confirm it is your own original, unpublished work.
  • Photos must be taken with the permission of the subject's parent or guardian.
  • By entering, you grant ISKCON Samskriti the right to use the image to promote the contest and our charitable activities — never for commercial purposes.
  • Participants are responsible for all entry-related costs and for any copyright or intellectual property violations.
  • Voters' Choice — the top 10 entries by vote count.
  • Judges' Choice — a "Cute 16" selected by our judging panel.
  • 108 shortlisted images will be showcased on our Facebook page.
  • Entries will be judged on visual appeal and presentation, originality and creativity, and technical excellence and composition. All decisions made by the judging panel are final and binding.
  • ISKCON Samskriti reserves the right to adjust the number of prizes if an insufficient number of deserving entries is received, and may disqualify any participant who violates these terms.

How to dress your kid as Krishna?
  • The playful cowherd boy: a flute in hand, and a peacock feather worn on the head
  • Transforming the complexion into blue shade or dusky and usage of hair extensions are accepted
  • Kumkum spots and sandalwood-paste patterns on the body; tilaka on the forehead, mascara around the eyes - makeup can be professionally be done or as per convenience
  • Four garments: dhoti, chaddar, turban and belt, tied with silk thread at the waist
  • Ornaments: crown, earrings, necklace, bangles, rings and ankle bells, plus a flower garland

How to dress your kid as Radha?
  • The eternal beloved of Krishna: upper garment ruby-red, lower garment the colour of a blue cloud
  • A long braid, or curling locks; sindura on the forehead
  • A pearl necklace, a nose ring, Kajal, and mascara around the eyes
  • All varieties of ornaments can be used as per the look's essentials - makeup can be professionally be done or as per convenience
  • A charming smile, and garlands of flowers
