Vaikuntha means a place which is completely free from anxieties. <em>vigata-ku\u1e47\u1e6dha yasm\u0101d<\/em>. <em>ku\u1e47\u1e6dha<\/em> means anxiety. Vaikuntha means a place where there is no anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, despite the considerable amount of material advancement, people worldwide find themselves lacking inner peace. The multitude of challenges related to the physical body and mind lead to numerous distresses, causing constant worry. In an attempt to escape these anxieties, people often resort to various forms of intoxication, indulge in movie watching, or seek temporary solace by taking short trips away from urban settings. While these activities may offer momentary relief, it is not a sustainable means of achieving complete freedom from anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transcending the Material Existence<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In our current existence within the material realm, we inhabit a body composed of gross and subtle bodies with a finite lifespan. However, our identity is that we are the spiritual soul within the body. Under the influence of the material atmosphere, we mistakenly identify ourselves with our physical and mental selves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>avin\u0101\u015bi tu tad viddhi<br>yena sarvam ida\u1e41 tatam<br>vin\u0101\u015bam avyayasy\u0101sya<br>na ka\u015bcit kartum arhati<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat which pervades the entire body you should know to be indestructible. No one is able to destroy that imperishable soul.\u201d (Lord Krishna in <em>Bhagavad-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/why-bhagavad-gita-as-it-is\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"Why \u2018Bhagavad Gita As It Is\u2019?\">gita<\/a><\/em> 2.17)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By following the spiritual process recommended by Vedic authorities for this age\u2014chanting the holy names of Krishna. The holy names of Krishna \u2013 Hare Krishna mahamantra are 16 syllable spiritual sound which is mentioned in the scriptures as <strong><em>p\u016br\u1e47a\u1e25 \u015buddho nitya-mukto<\/em><\/strong>, Krishna\u2019s name is complete spiritual and above the material contamination. It was brought into existence by the Supreme Lord, is currently sustained, and will undergo destruction at a later point in time. In contrast, an eternal realm exists where the beings are also eternal, unaffected by the fluctuations occurring in the material world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>paras tasm\u0101t tu bh\u0101vo \u2019nyo<br>\u2019vyakto \u2019vyakt\u0101t san\u0101tana\u1e25<br>ya\u1e25 sa sarve\u1e63u bh\u016bte\u1e63u<br>na\u015byatsu na vina\u015byati<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYet there is another unmanifest nature, which is eternal and is transcendental to this manifested and unmanifested matter. It is supreme and is never annihilated. When all in this world is annihilated, that part remains as it is.\u201d (Lord Krishna in <em>Bhagavad-gita<\/em> 8.20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vaikuntha planets are situated far away from the material universes. Lord Krishna explains in the Bhagavad-gita (15.6):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>na tad bh\u0101sayate s\u016bryo<br>na \u015ba\u015b\u0101\u1e45ko na p\u0101vaka\u1e25<br>yad gatv\u0101 na nivartante<br>tad dh\u0101ma parama\u1e41 mama<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat supreme abode of Mine is not illumined by the sun or moon, nor by fire or electricity. Those who reach it never return to this material world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Devotional Service to the Supreme Lord<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Supreme Lord is comprehensible through pure devotional service, devoid of personal material desires for self-gratification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>bhakty\u0101 m\u0101m abhij\u0101n\u0101ti<br>y\u0101v\u0101n ya\u015b c\u0101smi tattvata\u1e25<br>tato m\u0101\u1e41 tattvato j\u00f1\u0101tv\u0101<br>vi\u015bate tad-anantaram<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne can understand Me as I am, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, only by devotional service. And when one is in full consciousness of Me by such devotion, he can enter into the kingdom of God.\u201d (Lord Krishna in <em>Bhagavad-gita<\/em> 18.55)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our Eternal Connection with Lord Krishna<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone has an eternal relationship with Lord Krishna, as each living entity is an intimate part and parcel of the Supreme Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sri Vaikuntha <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/ekadashi\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Ekadashi \u2013 Dates, Rituals and Significance\">Ekadashi<\/a> is an auspicious day for increasing our devotion to the Supreme Lord by performing various devotional activities.
