A great devotee of Lord Chaitanya<\/a>
\nand HIS dear associate,
\nWho was Lord Brahma’s incarnate
\nand a Renunciate ;<\/p>\n

Born as a
\nModest Muslim,
\nIn His heart, the devotion
\nfilled to the Brim;<\/p>\n

With Sri Hari’s name in His
\nHeart and on His Lips,
\nHis mind unwavering in devotion
\nNever to Slip;<\/p>\n

He was beaten
\nBlack and blue,
\nFor chanting
\nSri Hari’s Name,<\/p>\n

But undeterred He went on,
\nfor, pleasing His
\nBeloved Lord,
\nWas His only Aim;<\/p>\n

In Puri, He stayed under His Lord’s
\nShelter and Care,
\nTheir association a Divine
\nClass Beyond Compare;<\/p>\n

He took the Lord’s name
\nTill His last Breath,
\nTo receive His Blessings
\nBeyond Life and death.<\/p>\n
