Palace Grounds \u2013 A little history<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bangalore Palace: The sprawling grounds surrounding this is the Palace Grounds<\/span><\/p>\n

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of urban Bengaluru, lies the majestic Bangalore Palace in the heart of the city. Enclosed by beautiful gardens, this palace not only attracts tourists in large numbers but is also a preferred destination for important events and cultural programs.<\/p>\n

The ownership of the palace has changed hands several times, from Reverend Garrett to Chamarajendra Wadiyar of the Wadiyar Dynasty to the British Empire and back to the Mysore royal family.<\/p>\n

The palace has a floor area of 45,000 sq. ft., and the sprawling grounds surrounding it called the Palace Grounds are spread across 454 acres. Many cultural events and social functions such as marriage ceremonies, exhibitions, musical concerts, sports events, etc., are conducted here.<\/p>\n

Over the past few years, Palace Grounds have hosted major artists like Elton John, Backstreet Boys, The Rolling Stones, Akon, and Iron Maiden, to name a few.<\/p>\n

It is in this Palace Grounds that Lord Krishna\u2019s appearance,\u00a0Sri Krishna Janmashtami<\/a><\/span>\u00a0will be celebrated this year!<\/p>\n
