Sri Rama Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the moon) of the month of Chaitra (March-April) to commemorate the birth of Lord Ramachandra all over Bharat and the world. Devotees of Lord Rama observe Rama Navami Vrata on the auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami<\/a> to deepen their devotion to Lord Rama.<\/p>\n

On the auspicious appearance day of Lord Ramachandra, seek the blessings of Lord Rama by following the recommended activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rise during the Brahma-muhurta<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

It is recommended that one rise early in the morning during the Brahma-muhurta. The period of one and a half hours before sunrise is called Brahma-muhurta. Spiritual activities are recommended during this time.<\/p>\n

One can chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra, hear bhajans and kirtans on Lord Rama and read Sri Ramayana by Valmiki.<\/p>\n

Fasting for Rama Navami vrata <\/span>It is recommended to fast till sunset on this auspicious day to reduce one\u2019s conditioned preoccupation with the body-mind system and increase one\u2019s devotion for Lord Rama.
