Good old days\u2026 isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today rarely people use this, once famous model\u2026 we are not constrained\u2026 we have SMART phones\u2026 really SMART\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-177\" title=\"Smart-phones1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Smart-phones1.jpg\" alt=\"Smart-phones1\" width=\"840\" height=\"500\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The latest technology is available for us\u2026 with more features\u2026 more operational freedom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Do you remember the day you switched over from the old model mobile phone to a SMART phone? Did you feel happy about it? Of course, you would have.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The technology will not stop here\u2026 this too will pass\u2026 and the scientists will strive to invent technology that will help us cross the boundaries\u2026 to experience a freedom better than what was experienced by our fathers and grandfathers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But are they not just pushing the boundaries\u2026 are we getting absolute freedom?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-185\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Untitled-3.jpg\" alt=\"Untitled-3\" width=\"840\" height=\"500\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Untitled-3.jpg 840w, https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Untitled-3-300x179.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We keep changing our bodies in this material world. Sometimes we take birth in a lower species and slowly evolve through our way upwards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is a spectrum of 8,400,000 species ranging from plants, insects, reptiles, animals, birds and human beings.&nbsp;The more we evolve the more we are free\u2026 we get better facilities to enjoy our senses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a human being, we know, we are much evolved than all the other lower species. But think\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Are we applying our intelligence in the right direction? Do we know that we can aim for absolute freedom and all that we need to do is to take guidance from the scriptures?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-176\" title=\"sense-of-gratification\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/sense-of-gratification.jpg\" alt=\"sense-of-gratification\" width=\"840\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/sense-of-gratification.jpg 840w, https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/sense-of-gratification-300x179.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Are we not just getting lost in enjoying the facilities of sense gratification?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is only an illusion that we are experiencing a better freedom. We are servants of our senses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The senses dictate us and we act accordingly. Yes\u2026 they regulate us\u2026 and they make us free. What are they? They are also living beings. And Krishna says all living entities are his sons and daughters. If we kill them, it means we are killing our brothers and sisters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-178\" title=\"Smoking\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Smoking.jpg\" alt=\"Smoking\" width=\"840\" height=\"500\"><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">NO INTOXICATION<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You agree and everyone agrees. Even the manufacturers of intoxicants agree. You see the statutory warning everywhere. Smoking kills. Tobacco causes mouth cancer\u2026 Drinking is injurious to health. We see such warnings everywhere. Can\u2019t we avoid it?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-168\" title=\"gambling\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/gambling.jpg\" alt=\"gambling\" width=\"840\" height=\"500\"><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">DO NOT GAMBLE<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even King Yudhishtira and Nala Maharaja suffered due to this. They lost everything and lived incognito\u2026 all due to gambling. Scriptures warn us. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-175\" title=\"material-attachments1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iskconbangalore.org\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/material-attachments1.jpg\" alt=\"material-attachments1\" width=\"840\" height=\"500\"><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">NO ILLICIT SEX<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What is illicit? If a person marries according to the procedure outlined in scriptures and engages in sex with his wife for begetting nice children, it is legal and religious. Any other means adopted to satisfy one\u2019s demands for sexual gratification is considered illicit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tough indeed\u2026 but one has to follow such rules to achieve absolute freedom.
