The Lord is the bestower of all benediction. If someone gives something to the Lord, he is not the loser; he is the gainer by a million times.
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Krishna, Chapter 11 |
Pure devotional service in Krishna consciousness cannot be had even by pious activity in hundreds and thousands of lives. It can be obtained only by paying one price— that is intense greed to obtain it. If it is available somewhere, one must purchase it
without delay.
Srila Rupa Gosvami Padyavali |
Even if one distributes ten million cows in charity during an eclipse of the sun, lives at the confluence of the Ganges and Yamuna for millions of years, or gives a mountain of gold in sacrifice to the brahmanas, he does not earn even one hundredth part of the merit derived from chanting Hare Krishna.
Srila Sanatana Gosvami Laghu-Bhagavatamrta |
Constant thought of the Lord is the antiseptic method for keeping oneself free from the infectious contamination of the material qualities.
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada,
Srimad Bhagavatam 3.1.32, Purport |
One who worships the Supreme Lord and His holy name with undivided faith, knowing Them to be identical, is considered an elevated, first class devotee, even if he does not understand the intricacies of his own spiritual identity.
Srila Jagadananda Pandita
Prema Vivarta, Chapter 12 |
Fear arises when a living entity misidentifies himself as the material body because of absorption in the external, illusory energy of the Lord. When the living entity thus turns away from the Supreme Lord, he also forgets his own constitutional position as a servant of the Lord. This bewildering, fearful condition is effected by the potency for illusion, called maya. Therefore, an intelligent person should engage unflinchingly in the unalloyed devotional service of the Lord, under the guidance of a bonafide spiritual master, whom he should accept as his worshipable deity and as his very life and soul. Srimad Bhagavatam 11.2.37
Sri Kavi to King Nimi |
My Lord, if one is favored by even a slight trace of the mercy of Your lotus feet, he can understand the greatness of Your personality. But those who speculate in order to understand the Supreme Personality of Godhead are unable to know You, even though they continue to study the Vedas for many years.
Lord Brahma's prayers to Lord Krishna
Srimad Bhagavatam 10.14.29 |
Even if you are considered to be the most sinful of all sinners, when you are situated in the boat of transcendental knowledge, you will be able to cross over the
ocean of miseries.
Bhagavad-gita 4.36 |
