BMP renews tie-up with ISKCON |

As many as 25,000 students in 137 education institutions are being served mid-meals under the BMP-ISKCON tie-up this year.
The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike on Thursday renewed its annual tie-up with ISKCON’s Akshaya Patra Foundation for the supply of mid-day meals to students in BMP’s schools and colleges.
As many as 25,000 students in 137 education institutions are being served mid-meals under the BMP-ISKCON tie-up this year.
The said educational institutions of the BMP include shishuvihars, primary schools, high schools and pre-university colleges.
Rs 2 crore
The BMP will be spending Rs 2 crore for the same. It will bear the full cost of Rs 6 per student in the high schools and PUCs and bear 50 per cent of the same in the case of children in shishuvihars and primary schools. The other 50 per cent in the case of the latter will be borne by the Akshaya Patra Foundation.
