The national level photography contest, Capture Krishna 2006, hosted by the Iskcon was launched on Sunday (April 9), according to a release.

Capture Krishna is a unique event offering photographers creative freedom to capture on frame, the nuances of the temple and its festivities in several perspectives. Cash prizes and awards for the best visuals are in the offing. The Brahmotsava celebrations from April 11 to 23 during which the photography contest is being held offers photographers myriad opportunities.

During the festivities, the temple will be gaily decorated, deities festooned in different alankaras and will ride on special vahanas - Surya Prabha vahana (chariot of the Sun God), Gaja vahana, Ananta Sesha vahana (serpent), Hanumad vahana (Hanuman) Garuda vahana (Eagle), Ashva vahana (horse), Hamsa vahana (swan), Kalpavriksha vahana (tree) besides Maha pallaki (palanquin) and Brahma ratha.
