Any person who can arrange for service to the Lord in the same way that a king is given service by his attendants is surely elevated to the abode of Krishna after death.

Janmashtami is the festival to celebrate the Divine appearance of Lord Krishna in this material world. Lord, who is ever-existing appears out of His own sweet will in a human form to take back His devotees to His eternal abode, to annihilate the demons and to establish the principles of religion. Janmashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of the fortnight of the waning moon of shravana masa (Aug-Sep) with great pomp, all over India.
The utsava deities of Sri Radha Krishna Chandra receive elaborate abhisheka(bathing ceremony) in which they are bathed in milk, ghee, curds, fruit juices and herbs.
