Students : For LKG, UKG & 1st standard

Contest code : 19
Date : 23/07/2008
Time : 01:00 p.m. to 04:00 p.m.
Students : From 2nd to 4th standard

Contest code : 20
Date : 30/07/2008
Time : 01:00 p.m. to 04:00 p.m.
Students : From 5th to 7th standard

Contest code : 21
Date : 31/07/2008
Time : 01:00 p.m. to 04:00 p.m.
Students : From 8th to 10th standard

Rules for contest code 18 to 21:
1. Students in a team of three to six can participate. (Group entries only, solo enteries are not considered)
2. Code 18: Select two to four slokas from chapter 1 to 5 (2 mins).
Code 19: Select three to four slokas from chapter 6 to 8 (2 mins).
Code 20: Select four to six slokas from chapter 9 to 12 (3 mins.).
Code 21: Select six to eight slokas from chapter 12 to 18 (4 mins)
3. Slokas & translations should be selected from any of the chapters of The Bhagavad-gita As It Is by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
4. Translations from other sources will not qualify for the contest.
5 All the students in the group should chant the sloka in chorus & one of the studetns should narrate the translation either in Kannada or English.
6. Students should submit selected slokas with translations on the day of the contest to the judge.
7. The group will be judged for pronunciation, translation, clarity & coordination. Marks will be deducted if the chanting is not from the Bhagavad-gita As It Is or if the participants are using a book or slips for reference.
8. Only three entries per school.
