| Rules for contest codes 01 & 02: |

Students in a team of 4 to 12 can participate. (Only group entries are allowed) |
| 2. |
Any form of Indian classical dance depicting a theme from the Puranas. (Western styles & film songs are not allowed). |
| 3. |
Live or recorded music may be used. Participants should provide a cassette or CD with the music for their dance at the time of registation. A tape recorder or a CD player will be provided. |
| 4. |
Costumes and make-up is required only for the finals.Participants can come in dance class uniform (grown up girls may wear Adiyar sari) for the preliminary round. For the finals the costumes should be traditional and it is the student's responsibility. |
| 5. |
The dance will be judged on the basis of choreography, coordination, grace, performance & music. |
| 6. |
A maximum of five minutes will be allowed for the qualifying round and eight minutes for the final. |
| 7. |
Only two entries per school. |
